Established in 1973, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police had a mission to restore law and order to Canada's Western frontier.  Their adventures and escapades are an important part of the countries rich history.

Canada established a unique mounted police force in 1873 to restore law and order to the western frontier. The men who joined the Force and marched west shared many characteristics: They had a love of adventure, extreme endurance, and a strong sense of pride in their new country. Their adventures and escapades are an important part of Canada's history.

About the Author

A graduate of Lakehead University, ELLE ANDRA-WARNER is the author of three books for Altitude Publishing's Amazing Stories series. She is also a travel journalist/photographer, a freelance feature writer, and a seminar speaker. Elle resides in Thunder Bay with her husband, Glenn, and daughter Cindi, but travels often to Alberta and British Columbia to visit her other two daughters, Tania and Tami.
