Ptolemy Turtle is an imaginative coming of age story set in the rich and vibrant culture of Jamaica.

Ptolemy Turtle lived on the edge of the White River under a heavenly allspice tree. All around were the sweet colours of Jamaica.

Young Ptolemy gets hit on the head by a falling breadfruit and discovers why he loves watermelon. Dazed by the blow he sees visions of angels and learns the importance of politeness and the ability to reason.
