Reclaiming Canadian Sovereignty in a Ruptured World
Diplomat, politician and author Bob Rae assembles the most thoughtful voices in Canada to explore the urgent questions about our country’s future.
In this timely book about Canada in a changing world, former Canadian ambassador to the United Nations Bob Rae brings together twenty of Canada’s leading voices to address urgent questions about Canadian sovereignty, at home and internationally.
As our relationship with the United States becomes increasingly unpredictable, questions of Canada’s future have never been more pressing. Prominent Canadians from the worlds of journalism, government, the arts and academia weigh in on the key issues facing our country today. What does the “ruptured” global order mean for Canada at home and abroad?
On trade and industry, the climate crisis, global alliances and defence, and political and cultural policy, leading figures from across the country propose what Canadians need to do to strengthen and safeguard our sovereignty.
With contributions from Margaret Atwood, Chrystia Freeland, Lloyd Axworthy, Michael Kovrig, and more.
