by Helen Earley

The best family travel destinations — with tips and tricks for maximum fun.

Every parent knows that travelling with kids has its ups and downs, but if the kids are happy, everyone’s happy. Helen Earley has travelled across Nova Scotia to find the very best kid-friendly adventures so families can make the most of their time together. The result is 25 full-day adventures and memory-making experiences that include options for every season and price point.

There’s something for everyone in this collection — from a family hike through history on McNabs Island to exploring the beaches of Queens County, or going down a coal mine in Cape Breton. Helen Earley has included a range of activities that will appeal to all ages. She highlights adventures — especially less well-known ones — for every season. There are tips on the best time of day or year to visit, how to save money and the all-important information on where the bathrooms and snack bars are located. This book takes the leg-work out of planning your next family adventure or road trip so that you can focus on having a good time. The goal is to help every family achieve maximum fun with minimum stress.

Reviews

"I love this book and Helen Earley, the author, is an absolute legend in her own right...if you have a family and you are eager to go out and adventure throughout this beautiful province of ours, you should have this as a compendium piece because it is just really well done. Not only does it give you great information, its got great photography throughout it and what I absolutely love about it is it covers 4 seasons of adventure."
