Robyn’s Party in the Park
by Hazel Hutchins
illustrated by Yvonne Cathcart
When Robyn starts planning her birthday party, her mother makes just one rule: everyone from Robyn's class has to be invited. But this isn't what Robyn has in mind.
When Robyn starts planning her birthday party, her mother makes just one rule: everyone from Robyn's class has to be invited. This isn't what Robyn has in mind, mostly because of the Three G's who can make a lot of trouble when they are all together. When Robyn delivers the invitations, her best friend Marie acts very strangely. Then Robyn delivers the last invitation to Jessica Johnston only to find out that Jessica is having a birthday party the same day. Her parents have ruled that she is allowed to invite only six friends. Robyn isn't one of them, but Marie is. Now Robyn can see the wisdom in her mother's rule, but she is determined that this won't ruin her party.
In the newest story, Robyn shows how an unexpected event doesn't have to derail her party but can be used to make new and better party plans.
