About the Authors

George Peabody

New Brunswick native GEORGE PEABODY is the author of School Days — A History of One-room Schoolhouses of the Maritimes, and is the editor of a collection of short stories, Best Maritime Short Stories.

Richard Thorne

RICHARD THORNE is a native of Saint John, New Brunswick, where he was a teacher and vice-principal for numerous years.

Carolyn MacGregor

Carolyn MacGregor has a background in planning and citizen groups in Halifax. She has been a member of the Planning Act Review Committee, a provincial body established to review planning legislation in Nova Scotia.
